Cluster of Excellence Started

Our research group is part of the newly established Austrian Cluster of Excellence (CoE) “Microbiomes Drive Planetary Health” funded by the FWF for an initial funding period of five years. This cluster will foster Microbiome Research in Austria and we aim to enhance our functional understanding of the Chemistry of microbial interactions within complex microbial communities. Our cluster is one of five CoEs in Austria and the only one led by the University of Vienna. We will collaborate closely within our cluster consisting of 30 research groups of the University of Vienna, TU Vienna, Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT), Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA), MedUni Graz, CeMM, Johannes Keppler Universität Linz, and Medical University of Vienna.
